At Linda Mai Phung, we believe that beautiful products should be designed and made by talented people while respecting mankind and the planet.
Our collections are currently made of :
-Organic cotton (G.O.T.S certified)
Organic cotton is grown without using toxic and persistent pesticides. It is allergic free. It is the best alternative to traditional cotton farming, which uses too much chemicals, thus threatening the farmers health and the earth.
-Local silk from Vietnam
Our silk is locally produced in Vietnam.
Silk is made by blackberry bush worms. During centuries, China has kept the secret of silk production, until the Middle Age. A priori, the process of silk production is not harmful for the environment.
-Traditional handmade textile from the minority tribes of Asia
Each Linda Mai Phung’s collection showcases traditional textiles made by tribes from Asia. We are thus promoting and supporting the craftsmanship of minorities living in remote areas.
Linen was the first fibre used to make garments. It is an excellent eco-material: it is naturally hypoallergenic, it uses 5 times less pesticides than cotton and needs 2 times less water to grow.
-Upcycled plastic bags
We fell in love with the printed industrial bags from Saigon’s food factories. Luckily for us, there’s a street only selling those used and misprinted bags in Saigon! So we decided to make funky products with it!
All the leather we use for our designs is leftovers from leather goods factories in Vietnam.
Since the creation of Linda Mai Phung, skilful tailors from a local family-owned business make our garments.
At Linda Mai Phung’s, we make sure that our garments are beautifully handmade, as eco-friendly as possible, and socially responsible.
